Create eclipse-inspired Shadow art

First, cut your paper into a large circle. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect.

Now, fill the circle with words, phrases or doodles that represent how you saw yourself before you began the journey down your Shadow Path. Get as creative as you want here – play with pattern, colour, size and shape.

When the circle is full, you may wish to snap a photo of what you’ve made so far.

Next, totally eclipse what you’ve created by drawing and writing over the top. This time, fill the circle in with words, phrases or doodles that represent everything you’ve learned about yourself and your Shadow along this journey. As well as including new reflections, you can reference things you’ve written in your journal and the lyrics of songs on your Shadow playlist. Write and doodle until you’ve completely covered what you did before.

When you’re done, spend a few minutes taking in the art that you’ve made. A picture of all that you are. Reflect on the change represented here: when you began this journey, your Shadow was hidden beneath your surface. Now, it’s staring you in the face, entirely different from what you knew, with all its strange beauty exposed.

Put your eclipse art somewhere safe – you’re going to need it at a later point in your journey.
